Mechanisms, not reassurances
Sharing four hours in a car with someone you have not met is the question this product has to answer. Each block below is a mechanism that can be checked, not a feeling.
You choose who you travel with
You're matched automatically, but the final choice is yours. Review a member's profile (name, photo, reviews from other members) before you book.
We monitor activity
Automated checks on driver activity. Zero tolerance for harassment, abuse or stalking, and strict policies on speeding and reckless driving.
Payments stay in the app
Rides are booked and paid through a secure payment gateway, so there's no cash and no off-platform arrangement.
You're covered by member protection
Keep communication, booking and payment on Voyar and you're protected by our member protection system. Identity and data are held securely.
What the matching never looks at
Matching is blind to who you are. The categories below are never inputs, by design rather than by policy.
What it never sees
Matching never considers age, gender, ethnicity, religion, politics, or anything inferred from them.
This matters most to the people most often sorted by those categories elsewhere. It is written into how the matching works, so it is not something a future policy change can quietly relax.
Every mechanism here runs both ways
A rider is not the only person taking a risk. Someone is letting a stranger into their own car for four hours, and each mechanism below applies to them too.
Both people are rated
After a trip, each person reviews the other. Both sets of reviews sit on a profile that the next person reads before they book.
Both people see a profile first
Matching happens before a seat is offered, so neither party is asked to commit to somebody they have not looked at.
Both people can walk away
An automatic match is a suggestion, not a booking. Either person can decline it, and neither has to give a reason.
Three things you can check right now
Most of this page describes mechanisms being built for a product that has not launched. These three are running on this website today, and you do not have to take our word for any of them.
One cookie, and it holds a language
It stores en or fr, and nothing else. There is no analytics cookie, no advertising cookie and no tracking cookie, which is why this site has never asked you to dismiss a consent banner.
Your IP address is hashed, not kept
The forms keep a one-way hash of it, to stop one address flooding them. The address itself is never written down, so it cannot be handed over, leaked, or sold.
Nothing loads from anyone else
Fonts, icons and images all come from this domain. The single third-party embed on the whole site is the map on the contact page, and it fetches nothing until you open it.
Open your browser's developer tools on any page here and check the network and storage tabs. That is the point of listing them.
Support when you need it
Support is by email, and a real person answers.
What we are not claiming
Voyar is pre-launch. Nothing here describes a safety record, because there is no operating history to describe. These are the mechanisms the product is being built with.
Be first on the corridor
I want a seat
Take a seat in a car already making the drive, next to someone you'd choose to sit beside.
Join as a riderI'm already driving
Post the empty seats on a trip you're already making, and set what they're worth.
